DDPC Staff

The Center employs one full time employee and two part time self-advocates. In addition, we have a part time student.

Cynthia BerkheimerCynthia Berkheimer is the newest member of the staff at the Center. She is a Self-Advocate Trainer. Cynthia has many years of experience working as a self-advocate both here and in Arizona. She was the past president of People First and is still involved with this group.

 

Laura MatthewsLaura Matthews is a self-advocate employed at the Center. Laura has been with the Center for 1 year. She is a Self-Advocate Trainer. Laura is a cook and is working on a cookbook for people with disabilities. Laura has developed great skills as a public speaker.

 

Daniel EkmanDaniel Ekman is the Center's new VISTA Volunteer and comes to us with great experience and a lot of enthusiasm.  Once his VISTA assignment is complete, Daniel will return to school and complete his MA in Special Education.

 


Virgina Mora de Lazo 
Virginia Mora de Lazo
brings great enthusiasm, knowledge from her previous experience as a VISTA, and a background in nutrition. We look forward to working with her over the next year.

 

 Connie DeHerreraConnie DeHerrera has been the Center Coordinator for over a year. She supports all of the self-advocates and coordinates any activities and projects in which the self-advocates are interested.
